Although we are currently in the offseason for enjoying our luxury pools, it’s never too early to remember what needs to be done once summer arrives again. Here are some tips and steps to take to care for your luxury pool during the summer season.
- Use a proper pool cleaner to prevent water stains along the waterline and walls of your luxury pool. Using a pool brush, apply the cleaner along the waterline and walls of your luxury pool. It’s also a good idea to work the cleaner into the walls by submerging the brush after the cleaner has been applied.
- Be sure to run your filter system as often as possible during the summer season. By keeping the water moving constantly, you are preventing the buildup of organic matter in your pool. This includes lotions, dead skin, dirt, and bacteria. If you are unable to run your system nonstop throughout the entire season, at least run the system constantly while your pool is being used frequently.
- At least twice a week, check the chemical levels of your pool. Checking the levels of chlorine and pH within your pool is a great way to monitor your luxury pool. This will also alert you if your pool is in need of more chemicals or you need to cut back on the amount of chemicals being used.
- At least once a week, clean your pool water. Use a proper skimmer or vacuum to remove any debris from your pool water. This will keep your luxury pool clean while also preventing damage from occurring to your pool filtration system or your pool liner.
